The No! No! hair removal system is a convenient, safe method for removing hair, including facial hair, at home. Not all home systems are rated as safe for use on the face. Other options include advanced laser systems. The No! No! is small, easy to hold, and comes in a power cord model and a cord-free model. It uses pulses of Thermicon technology to heat and burn off the hair without harming the skin. Users will periodically need to replace the Thermicon tips. The Silk’n BellaLite hair removal system is another hand-held model, and it uses Home Pulsed Light, or HPL. Light energy is applied to the hair shaft and absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, where it is transformed into heat that stops hair growth. Users will see results within four to six treatments. They may need to keep using the unit throughout their full hair growth cycle, which can vary by person, which can be anywhere from 18-24 months. Each cartridge lasts for about 750 pulses, which should be enough to treat the arms and legs several times, or the whole body one time. After you finish doing the hair part, you can then move on to skin laser work

The Venus laser hair removal system, model, CW-808, provides fast and comfortable permanent hair removal. It’s appropriate for use on the legs, arms, chest, back, underarms, bikini area, and sideburns. It is not for use around the eyes, such as the eyebrows. The Venus works by using an 808nm diode laser to the root of each hair follicle, disabling further growth. It takes about an hour to treat one leg. Because laser energy is absorbed by the dark pigment in the hair follicles, the Venus is not appropriate for darkly-pigmented Afro-Caribbean skin. It takes anywhere from three to six months for permanent hair removal, using the unit every two to three weeks, depending on the pigment in a person’s skin and hair.

The Remington i-LIGHT Pro Intense Pulse Light hair removal system is a corded, at-home, hand-held unit. It uses IPL or intense pulsed light applied to hair follicles, but protects the skin. Each bulb applies about 1,500 flashes for two to three full-body treatments, and it comes with a replacement bulb. It works on light and medium skin tones and black or brown hair. Other types of treatment to consider include laser liposuction as well.
